Taylor Quitara is a multifaceted artist based in New York City. As an oil painter, content creator and creative director, Taylor is known for her infectious energy and elevated curation. She has cultivated a loyal following through her engaging online presence, offering musings on art and archive fashion, and insights into her creative world building. Taylor's talents have also caught the eye of major brands, leading to collaborations with Chanel, Maison Margiela, Pinterest & Marc Jacobs just to name a few. Through these partnerships, Taylor has brought her unique artistic vision, infusing her signature style into high profile campaigns and projects. With her infectious spirit and unwavering authenticity, she remains a beacon of light in the ever evolving digital landscape.
Quitara's artistic talents extend beyond the digital realm into the realm of large scale oil paintings.
Exploring collapsed memory, femininity, and the soft violence of becoming, her works unfold as painterly dreamscapes balancing contemporary internet age romantic surrealism and emotional abstraction. Her solo exhibitions map her shifting emotional terrain through sometimes soft colorfields. From the haunted social spaces of Present Company (2025), where unseen presences drift through shared encounters, to the ghosty dreamscapes of Things I Can’t Lay To Rest (2024), which meditate on girlhood, loss, and emotional inheritance. Earlier, Go Play, The Adults Are Talking (2022) marked Quitara’s return to painting after a period of distance, drawing from collapsed childhood memories of family and re-examining them through an adult perspective.
